tire wear

I just noticed tonight that my tires seem to be wearing very fast ( to me.... never owned mud tires) what kind of milage should you usually get out of them? I have 12000km's on them.
Thanks

I think every brand is different. Mud tires will wear faster than street tires. Air pressure and alignment also play a huge factor, not to mention the occasional burnout!! I have run Michelin LTX M/S on several trucks and got between 60 and 70,000 miles out of them.

on mud tires it is real important to rotate them every oil change or 5,000 miles

I've never had good luck with mud tires. Usually only about 9000-11000 miles is all I can ever get out of them

a good MT tire like the Toyo's should last an easy 25,000 miles if taken care of properly..
heres how..rotate every 4,000 miles and keep the air pressure inflated properly..
if the tires are wearing more on the center drop 5PSI if it continues drop a lil more if the tires are wearing on BOTH shoulders add air and if the tires are wearing more on one side get an alignment..
front PSI=50-55PSI,the wider the tire drop a lil.when towing run 65-75PSI.
rear PSI=40-50PSI when not towing,65-75PSI when towing.
thats all i run is MT tires and even with burnouts, sled pulls and drag racing i still see 20,000+miles out of a set of MT tires.

My buddy worked at the dealer. He said customers that rotated there tires every 5,000 miles got better tire wear.

I know I got 15,000 out of my last set
