okay, so i havent posted on here for a long time but u do pop in once in a while to see whats new, but i need some help.
I currently have 285/55/20 bfg a/t's that are almost bald. they only have a little over 30k miles on them. i would like to get some new tires roughly the same size but with really good tread wear. $300 a tire is a little much IMO that are gonna be bald in 2 years. id like them to have a decent look to them like the open country m/t's or even like the bfg a/t's, but want somethin that might last me 50k miles or more.
Give me ur opinions and experiences with different tires. gotta make a decision soon so i can get some when my tax return comes in! thanks in advance.

I would stay away from a m/t tire for long life. But I have friends that run the toyos in a a/t(same as nitto a/ts) and they seem to last pretty good but not much longer than a bfg, dick cepeck, micky thomson, etc. We have a lot trucks with big tires around my town and we all like to compare but I think I would go with what you like the looks of best because they are all pretty close in wear,Or go with whatever fits your cost factor.
i have new nito's so I cant give a rating yet But ive ran bf's and theye wore great, same with my toyo's m55 bvut they sucked in the snow, best bang for your buck based on others from what I have learned is the nitto terra graplers, they have desne tsiping as well so they will move water fairly well

go with toyo open countrys, my buddy has a set on his truck and has had them for about 3 years with around 42,000mi on them. and they still have about 8000mi left on them. i run M/T tires and am always worried about tire wear, so with my tax check im switching over to the toyo open countrys

My BFG TKO have 30k on them and not much left. I will be lucky to get another 5K on them as I just put the nearly down to tread wear indicators pair on the front end. They are great tires for snow, mud, off road etc. Towing wears them out fast IMO.
I am switching to Toyo Open Country after this. I will test thier wear warranty!
thanks for the replies guys. ive read alot of good stuff about the open countries and the grapplers. i guess ill choose between which ever ones i can get cheaper. sounds like they will all last about as long (but hopefully a bit longer than my bfg a/t's have)!!! thanks again. and if anybody else has any input, let me know!
