I am running the 235/80 17s on my Lmm. They are Michelin LTX/MS you can out 235/85s on yours without any problem. They are 1.5" taller than stock and they fill out the wheel wells alot nicer. The Michelins on the dually have 25k on them and they look like they still have 70% tread left, I am hoping to get at least 60k out if em.NOt bad for a dually that weighs 10k pulling 10k daily

You can run a 235/85 they are about as tall as a 285/75 but not as wide.

the 235-85R16(31" tall)is the most popular Dualy size in the 16"..although if you tow heavy they will rub on the duals..you realy need a 1/4 spacer to avoid them touching..

And, you'll greatly reduce your towing capacity going larger. If you only pull 10-12k lbs, it's not much of an issue though.

afraid so..unless you do spacers you will hinder your towing capacity with the taller tires since they are wider as well.

The look factor won't offset the effect of going taller and towing, you 'll use more fuel as it works harder to pull the same load as when stock.

285/75-17 = 33.84”
235/85-16 = 31.74”
215/85-16 = 30.4”
