305/65/17 or 285/70/17???

With a 2'' life, which one of these would require less trimming if any? I am looking at MT Baja ATZ (opinons welcome) and MT wheels. Is a 305 a wide tire for street applications? I.E. how is noise and tracking?

Thanks for the feedback.

285, is a 33x11.5 tire and a 305 is a 33x12.5 tire. So the 305 will require a little more trimming

305 is kinda excessive IMO, I would just run 285's, that is what I and many others run.

Thanks for all the quick feedback. It sounds like 285s take the cake. Friend has 305s and likes them, but they seem huge for mostly hwy driving. Also concerned about fuel mileage. I know the wider the tire the more drag.

Any experience with the MT Baja ATZs? I love the tread design and from the tests I have read they are quiet.

i would do the 285's and for one reason only, they are 3 times as popular as the 305's so when your on the road somewhere with a flat the chance of finding a 285 is perty high vs a 305 its not happening.if that makes senses.

Thanks again for all the good feedback.

I am going to do 2'' level kit and 17x9 with 285/70/17.

Any experience with MT Baja ATVs?
