I'm wanting to run a 285/65/R18 tires so what wheel offset do I need to run without rubbing or trimming?? Do I have to worry about that with my leveling kit and 285 tires??

you should be able to go up to 75 or -11m offset and you shouldnt have any worrys with the leveling kit.

That tire is nearly 33" tall. You're going to be very close....
You might need to do some minor trimming. The NBS trucks are slightly tighter than the classics.
+12mm offset seems to be the sweet spot in my experience.

I bought my d-max last month with those same size tires on it. The wheels were a diamo 18x9.5 with a -10 offset. I was leveled and had no rubbing lock-to-lock.

This weekend I just tried mounting a 285/70/17 on my hummer H2 wheels and they rub like hell! I mean, there was no way to even fit them without cutting metal out on the driver side fender well. I have my t-bars cranked up 1.25" too! It was rubbing so bad, I wouldn't have even been able to leave the tire shop to get it home. I was prepared to trim plastic, but I didn't want to start cutting metal on my new truck, so I ended up going with 265/70/17. very disappointed. the 285's would have looked sweet. 265's looked pretty good I guess. here's a couple pics.

285/70R17 = 32.6 OD
265/70R17 = 31.7 OD
It's amazing how 1" makes such a significant difference.
I've always said, 32" is the magic number.
Anything over 32" will need some trimming, lifting or a combination of both.
Do you still have it lifted 1.25" with the 265's?
Your truck looks really good though!

Thanks! Ya, truck is still cranked 1.25" with the 265's. I don't want to go any more, cause right now with my fifth wheel it sits perfectly level, plus all of the wear problems with going higher. So I settled with the 265's. Oh well, I think it still looks pretty goo too...just would've looked better with 285's. Maybe by the time I'm due for the next set of tires, I'll be able to bring myself to trim some metal.
