Wheel Advice Please

Hello, just bought my first DMAX and looking to get some nice wheels and tires. The truck currently has 285's Terra Grapplers on stocks with no rubbing. I am looking at getting either 18's or 20's with another set of 285's. I like the KMC chrome rockstars, but i live on gravel so i want to know what offset and backspacing will work best for keeping the wheels inside the fenders. I know i will need leveling kit if i want to run these tires and that is fine. Also what kind of all terrain tire does everyone like best thanks for the help.

i personally have had awesome luck with toyo open country all terrains.

i think that with any offset on tires that wide you may get a little stone chips. i do with my tires on stock rims still...you could look up some fender flares or some bid ol mud flaps.
goodluck however you go

stay with a 8-9.5" wide wheel and then also stay with a 4.75-5.5BP or a 0-+12OS and you'll be fine with a 33" tire and the torsion bars cranked up a lil!..i have run several sets of 33's with those wheels dimensions and never had a problem clearing them!

Im running 285/65/18's with stock suspension, did a little trimming to valance and inner fender, but the do rub on the part of the wheel well closest to the cab at full lock. There -12 offset.

perty much any negative offset will cause rubbing on a 32" and taller tire for the GM trucks!

heres the setup i would do,18X9 with a +12OS and you'll be fine with a 33" tire with just the torsion barts cranked and it will only be better if you do a leveling kit!
