Tire and Wheels? And Tire Chains

When I get back from alaska I will be needing New tires for hunting season. I need mud and snow tires and I would like to get black wheels. I don't want 20s or fancy bling wheels. I just need a good looking durable set of black wheels and tires. Give me ideas on some please. Also I have heard of people ripping brake lines off of chevys wile using tire chains? Is this true? i use heavy chains. Please help me.

i have run Firestone Destination MT for snow tires on a couple trucks and loved them. Have not had them on my duramax yet. i took them off my old truck and will put them on it this winter. they last a good amount of time (i think this will be my forth season) not loud for a open tread.
the tread pattern changes every i think 23 degress from narrow to wide and that what make the tire do well in the snow. Firestone used to have a SP snow tire that did this and they were Awesome. they discontinued the SP and Incorporated this into the destination mt and it works well on and off road.
