Well i went with some mickey thompson atz's and some 20" wheels and i can honestly say i cant wait till they wear out so i can go back to a smaller closer to stock size. They slow you down a bunch and in a 4 wheel drive boosted launch you better let the car next to you get a head start cause my truck hops so hard i bet i would hit him. My buddies say my tires toe in a bunch even with sleeves and cognito braces. Stock size dont do that.

Biggest tire size I'll ever go is 32.8 inches....which is a 285...so I can agree with you. But maybe someone else on here can give you some better advice. What size tires do you have??

And many other mods not listed.....
Even 285's on stock rims is pushing it.
When I had stock rods, i was launching with no sleeves, with 285/70/17's. Its not the type of tire that causes the hopping.....

if your running 33 or taller forget 4x4 launches really...use 2wd everyone will probably give me hell for saying this but unless you have some really serious HP they are not gonna spin on the track unless you boost it to a crazy amount. plus being in 2wd will help you at the long end you will see a significantly higher mph and your et will be very close or better IHMO

im running 305 with a leveling kit and add a leaf. i have heard that an actual lift helps a bunch along with hd rods but i dont wanna lift mine i originally wanted my truck to go fast but im willing to sacrafice a lil for wheels and tires cause it makes the truck look damn good.
