About 5,000 miles ago I had my front aligned at a Firestone Store. I was charged like $150 with a 6 month/6,000 miles warranty. I looked at the spec sheet and they got the alignment very close. I can't remember how it was measured, but it seemed like it was within 1/1,000 of spec. Perhaps it was 1/10, I can't remember. What I do remember was it was extremely close to spec.
I had them rotate tires (first rotation and only) as well and check air pressure to 60lbs. It rides sweet at that rating. However, a couple of weeks ago, I went to towing and cranked up the pressure to 80lbs. as the tire calls for on the sidewall and have left it there.
The other day, I was walking around the truck just looking things over and noticed that both front tires are worn probably twice as much as the inside, and I would call these tires ruined because they will never wear evenly again.
What do I do? Take them to Firestone and ask for another alignment (which I am planning to do)? Do I ask them to replace the tires with new? What do I have to stand on as far as what they will replace and not?

you might take a look at your pitman and idler arm if the are worn it will not hold toe and will cause major wear problems no matter how many allignment jobs you have done and the arms tend to wear fast due to the design

heres my theory...since the front end cant flex due to the bump stops being bottomed out, when cornering, the tires will take the stress instead of the suspension soaking it up. its pretty much like having no suspension at all.

Okay, so will the braces cure the problem, or new ones with braces added?

Also noticed that it wanders on the highway a little. It stays straight when you point it, doesn't pull to one side or the other, just kinda wanders around a little.
