Service Tire Monitor System

I just installed the Amp Research Power Steps on my truck. You have to take the batttery cables off. But now it say's to
Service Tire Monitor System on my guages. How do I reset this?

Head to the dealer. Sorry to tell ya. I had it cause I put new wheels on and had to get the new stems programmed for what tire was what. Took an hour cuase this local dealer sucks and I didn't buy the truck from them nor would let them ever do anything besides this one. I guess you need to use a Tech II for it. Ended up only costing $16 bucks so wasn't bad.

did you take all your performance parts off when taking it to the dealer?

No she was whistling right threw the whole shop. I actually heard it threw the parking lot going in from inside and I was like yea that's mine. I did wanna say they got on it a bit or something but I guess it is pretty loud. Me just being a parent you know. They didn't say anything about my mods and I am pretty sure there dicks.

You can set the tpm's without a tech 2 try relearning them info in owners manuel
you dont have to go to the dealer unless there is a problem with the system
i swap tires and rims all the time and only one set has the tpms in them it has always recognized them on mine just doing a relearn
