Anybody have the correct answers for this???

2009 2500hd LMM...like to replace tires with 265's or 285's. Can this be done safely with stock 16" wheels? Do I need to reprogram computer? If I buy tuner and do this myself, will it void warranty? I have the ready lift 2" lift installed allready and just need some decent tires wheels.

Yes, 285s' will be fine, Your mileage will be off by about 4 mph at 65 to 70.

welcome to the DF..
will it work yes,it would recommend doing a 8" wide wheel for the 285's but the OEM 6.5" wide wheels will work! you could do the Hypertech Tire Paq if you just want to adjust speedo and that shouldnt void your warranty but if you realy want to make sure you dont viod the warranty just have the dealership recalibrate your ECM for the larger tires!

Thanks for the replies!

Thanks guys...Think I'll just go with wheels and tires and have dealer reprogram ECU.

My friend just added 285-75-16's to his 2009 and he had to crank the T bar's to get them to fit and they are REALLY close to touching but the T bars are not maxed out..I think they have a turn or so left.

People have been putting 285/75 R16s on these trucks every since the throttle body 350 was invented (late 80's) . I have not heard of any issues.
