on the frozen ground that I deal with for 9 months out of the year the bfg all terrain ta is the best tire i have found yet. it runs circles around the goodyears, coopers, and mickyts. have run them all and at least while im still in alaska the bfgs are all i will ever buy again.

dont get them , they do not last. you may be lucky to get 25-30k miles out of them. i have 17k on mine mostly highway and they are looking worn...
Thats actually pretty darn good for me! I only got 15,000 out of my Bridgestone duelers and they cost $55 a tire more

I've had both BFG A/T's and Terra Graps. IMHO the Terra's are better and cost less. I've had two sets now, one on a truck I sold to my Dad, and the current 285/75's I'm running on my '02 2500, which by the way will fit a stock 4WD with minimal rubbing only at full steering lock. Everybody's gonna have their opinion, but for the money I'll stick with the Terra's.
I had Cooper Discoverer ST's, ProComp AT's, Mastercraft AT's, and some other AT I can't remember, and they all pretty much sucked butt. I know someone here says that cooper and procomp are same thing, but I assure you the procomp AT is ALOT softer than the Coopers....my coopers almost killed me when it was wet or snowy out, the procomps ran like a champ and never slipped. As far as the Nitto's go, I personally don't like the look of them, but I'd go with the Terras over the other ones. And I know noone ever listens to me when I say this, but look at General Grabber AT2 tires...I have them on both my trucks and my wifes, and we LOVE them...they are non-expensive, have great treadlife, great warranty, and have the SAME middle pattern as the BFGoodrich tires, but are snow rated unlike BFGoodrich. Thicker tread and longer life, and they are quiet...I can't hear them at all. Plus they look agressive...

Actually I was looking at the same tire! It is a differnet tireand for the price you cant beat them. I went to the tire warehouse... ( Seriously warehouse the area disrtibution center) and lookedat the tires in there. I saw the grabbers and the other tire I liked was the Kumho KL78. It was way cheaper than the bridgestones I have on my truck now. But it doesnt come in a 285/75/16

I ran the Nitto Crapplers twice. Never again! I think I got 25K out of them. I switched to Toyo open country MT 315 70 16 load range E. Love them work really well in the sand. little cab noise. Friends have got 45 to 50k on them. They have a LT265 75 16 MT load range E. Or 265 70 16 AT load range D. Take a look at them.
