pitted chrome rims

so i picked up a set of 18"x9" Moto Metal 951's on 35x12.50r18 nitto mud grapplers yesterday... the rims are pitted around the corners.... is there anything i can do? i got them really cheap. 2 tires have 1/3 tread and 2 have 1/2 tread.... how much were they worth with center caps? i paid $275.00

Oh wow thatsa tuff one! They are chromed over aluminum so Id try a sos pad on a small part and see what it does. Teh real problem is when they start to lift the chrome coating will start to peal away. You can also use some regular wheel polish.

Depending on how bad they are. For what you paid you might want to invest in getting them sand blasted and powder coated. It would be sick to see them with something other than black

Jut a quick search on the net and I saw them wheels going for $250 a wheel. Depending how pited Id say you could get $400-500 for them.

I used mothers chrome polish on mine. I bought them off a guy who upgraded to 18s and they had the same problem. I just keep them pretty clean and I have not had a problem yet. BTW I paid 150.00 for the set but their 16s
