| do i need a 8-10 ply tire. i dont tow much, if i do its a 12' trailer with 4 quads on it. i hauled a explorer once. 99% of my driving is street. discount tire wont sell me a xl tire for a 3/4 ton truck. tire pros will but no warranty. i have 285/50 for a while never had a problem and the load rating was less than a 305/50. my options are nitto 420s 828 insalled (305/50/20) nitto dune 1215 installed (285/55/20) nitto trail 1300 installed (295?55/20) no road hazzard on all of them.

| ended up getting some nitto trails 295/55/20
