Finally right up my alley!! I am retired but have worked part time for a Tire and Auto Store. The Mich. LTX A/t2 is a realatively new tire for Mich.. I have heard nothing but good about the Mich LTX M/S (multiple surface), and have run them on every truck I own. I have a friend that got 112K out of a set of them. Rotating is the answer!! The A/T2 is a slightly more aggressive tire than the M/S and has a bit more of a tuff truck look. The tread line break to sidewall is not rounded as much as the M/S. To be honest, I have sold alot of both, more of the M/S because it has been around a bit longer. I don't have any longjevity info on the A/T2 but so far they are looking to be a good wearing tire. The Mich. rep was in the other day and I asked if they were going to phaze out the M/S and just go with the A/T2 and he said absolutely not!! If someone comes in and asks for the best tire we have for their truck, it is a no brainer - Mich. LTX M/S or A/T2 depending on how aggresive they want the tire to be. You will have to step up to the plate as far as price, but they are well worth it!!!

Question Michelin Ltx A/t2

How is the MPG with the Michelin LTX A/T2? Is it about the same as the Michelin LTX M/S?

I am looking hard at good tires with the following:

-excellent wear, high mileage "E" range
-good for 30% off-road (job site, not mud-bogging)
-great fuel economy

I currently have BF Goodrich A/T KO 265 R16 "D" range; I used to love them but they are not going the distance on my Duramax.

I am between:
Michelin LTX A/T2
Nitto DuraGrappler
Bridgestone Dueler Revos

What do you guys think?

Well, I have the Revo's and love 'em. I think a lot of people look past them and go straight for the BFGoodrich's or Michelins, or Nitto's. I couldn't possibly ask more from a tire than what I've gotten from the Revo's. I do Highway with em, gravel roads, in town, towing in town, and on highway, and they've been great for me. 40k on them so far. I also like them because they're failry aggressive for an A/T tire, but they're absolutley silent going down the road where as a M/T or such is not at all. Best part, they love winter, which is when I work em the hardest. I can push snow with the bumper in 2wd. They're good tires and I'll be buying another set as soon as these wear out which will be about another 10-15k. 50k is about all you can ask out of a hard worked a/t tire in my book. Also worth noting, in 40k I've never had a flat, or even had to add air to any of my tires.
