New shoes....Smooth & quiet too

I just put some new 285's on,what a difference!!I chose the A/T because the mud tires were wearing quick[I didn't rotate em

]and were noisy when on the phone,window down etc.Stayed with same size cause I like the height,but if I would have known how rough they'd been,I'd would have changed them sooner.Anyone else's Duramax love to ''eat'' the rear tires?

OR is this my failure to rotate the tires regularly?

The fronts had 40-50% left,while the rears were almost BALD

Mine eats rear tires too. I don't really beat on it either, just a lot of miles. Went 10k between rotations last time and that was about 5k too many. Keep 'em rotated, it make a big difference.

I have never really been hard on tires,but like you,I have rolled them a bit.I NEVER rotated the old ones,maybe that's part of it?

I will rotate these though,every 5k I guess will be ok..I rotated the ol M/T heavily before I got to the tire shop:tease:tease

My only regret is not buying batteries for digital camera..I will have to next time I fry em!!YES,I had a blast,every other light was a smoke show,the tires were still HOT after 10 minutes of idling,waiting for them to start on mine..

When it's time to replace mine I'll take pictures. Have to find a parking lot and just light 'em up.

I still have the ol tires,when I get to building my home after Dec,i WILL make a vid of me playing in mud w/truck,I have plenty room with 12 acres.Will try to find some unoccupied asphalt after that,just so I can post it!!Waiting for your video,I really dig torture videos[when tires are involved!!!]

Ya its amazing what a difference just changing the tires will do to your truck! Mine eats tires to If I dont keep them rotated. My buddy works at a dealership. When I bought mine he said If I didnt roate them ever 8,000 miles Id go throught tires every 12. Sounds about right to me! Gotta get some pics up to.
