what is the largest tires i can fit in the stock well? ill have my air level rite kit in and also air bags in the back so its more like a 2 inch kit but really same diff. this will be a extra set to play around. i got my 235/85/R16 tires and stock rims for towing and the such. either looking at a 16 or 17 inch rim. im thinking of maybe getting a set of stock rims and powder coating them. let me know thanks guys.

Without trimming a 265/75 R16 is the biggest, but with just a little triming the 285/75s will fit and i have herd of a few people running 305s, but it depends on the wheel offset.

I have 285/75/16 on stock rimes right now with Ready lift leveling keys which raised it about 1.5-2 inches. Next I will put 33x12.5x18 on it I have a friend who has identical truck with this set up and is running the 33's and it looks and stands and looks good with no rubbing.

you got tobe able to fit bigger then just 285/75's. my 235/85 tires are way taller then the 75's (almost 32 inches when new) and they fit and have room to spare. i know the consern in turning though. i want to have a wider tires really (going to do some drags and pulls with it next summer) but also what the hieght. also these tires will get swtiched in and out. get way better milage with the 235/85 and they are better in rain and snow on the highway.

I"m running 315's right now on H2's for pulling. A little rubbing but nothing too serious. I did do some trimming and need to cut some metal for pulling next year. But I generally run 295's or 285's with minimal to no rubbing. 285's are about the right size. If you go aftermarket rims they will more than likely tend to rub a little more. H2's have a better offset for bigger tires.

im thinking a 285/75r16 or 285/70/r17 what do you think. what is the offset of the H2 rims? im thinking of maybe tring to get a set of alum chevy or GMC rims from anyone around that has upgraded and get them powdercoated. im sponsored my a powdercoating company so thats why, what do you think

I'd do it. I'd run the h2's personally. With the 285's they'd fit fine and with minimal rubbing and not have to worry about the narrow factory chevy aluminum wheel since the h2's are 17x8.5" and the Factory alums are 16x 6.5" But you jump up in price going to a 17" tire.
Tireboyz Demaxin had a thread on here about putting too wide of tire on the factory chevy wheel and the bead getting worn out and tires coming off. That's why i'm suggesting the h2's.
