injector smoking? only at startup or all the time?

sounds like maybe a loose connector causing a heat build up.

NO, you DON"T want an electrical fire!

Is there fuel leaking from the injector nearest the smokingj GP?

It will start just fine without the GPs. You might try unplugging the Glow Plug Controller and see if it still smokes

If it wasnt smoking before the injector install I would think its the connector I would try cleaning the plug or replacing the electrical plug. Also clean the glow plug connection. I also use Dielectric grease on all connections. Is it on all glow plugs or just one?

Is it possible you installed them with oil or fuel on your hands? If so then clean what you can see of them and see if that helps.

Also make sure that you didn't bend the power rail that supplies power to the glow plugs as it sits close and can short out if it gets bent. Also when I had a glow plug go out on the 2001 it would heat the power rail red hot and smoke like an electrical fire, replaced the glow plugs and all is well.
