Question?

My friend has a 03 C5500 rollback with the d-max and a lil over 200,000mi. and it lacks power. we changed all the filters and such. and we wanna get more power out of it. also better fuel economy would be "super awesome"!
so my question is.

Can we just use a regular 01-04.5 programmer on it or is there someone that makes a special programmer for big trucks?

I didnt "really" look yet, but i didnt notice an OBD2 plug in the truck. im sure it has one somewhere.

PPE makes a tuner that will work. 4" Exhaust,PPE Tuner level 2, PPE boost valve, Pyro and boost gauges!! Call PPE they are great to work with. I run level 2 on my c4500. it runs great. The OBD2 plug should be to the right of sterring col. next to a round plug. at the base of the dash

effn sweet man thanks! dont these bigger trucks have the 5in turndown exhaust? "i havent looked at my buds exhaust yet." but i thought all the big 4500+ trucks were built as cab chassis and cab chassis models get 5in turn down exhaust.

My truck came stock with 3" from turbo to muffler than 3 1/2 out of muffler with turn down. so you need to look at his and see what he has.

It is a 6.6L right?? Not sur eif you could get the bigger Inline 6 in the 5500 or not.

If it is, most tuners will work. But check to make sure.
