Ok so first off, I live in CA so I have to smog my new duramax every other year.
I just got my first diesel, 05 LLY, and is like to delete the egr. Problem is my understanding is the smog test on diesels is mostly a visual inspection so if they see the egr components gone I’d fail
My question is, if I get a new up pipe that is usually part of the egr delete process, can I put a blocker plate on the egr end and leave that assembly on the motor to pass any visual inspections? Or is there more to it that I’m missing?
