Tow haul

I was hanging out with a buddy of mine who has an lbz, he was telling to always use tow haul, when cruising or mashing on it because it will save the transmission. Anyone have some insight on this? Thanks in advance!

I know this may sound pretty progressive and far out, but I only use tow haul when I am towing or hauling something.

T/H lowers line pressure....so probably not.
I think they're basing their theory on TC lock up effect .
