Engine Hours Disappeared

Gentlemen,

I recently had the truck emissions tested (Ontario, Canada) at local Ford dealership and it came back with flying colours but somehow they had totally erased my engine hours while scrolling through the gauge info to get the truck's mileage. How is that possible, and is there any way (I doubt it) to resurrect it?

The truck has about 132 000 km (80 000 mi) on it.

My engine hours reset on mine a while back for no reason also. Guess they do not matter. I use the 2nd trip odometer for my oil change intervals. Just turned 65,000.

Mine disappeared when I did a battery change. That was a couple of years ago and it still hasn't come back!

mine did not come back. It just started counting again. Could have been after the battery change. Not a parameter I generally look at.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, my engine hour log has started up again from zero after the dealership pooched the original count. Its not a big deal, but if it was possible to fix, I would have preferred that.
