Oil cooler

I've done quite a bit of work to my truck as seen to try get my truck to run cooler now I'm interested in getting a larger oil cooler if possible. Has anyone put on on and noticed a difference it cooler engine coolant temps

04.5 ccls sb LLY 4" MBRP exhaust from turboback AFE Bladerunner mouth piece, edge insight CTS monitor, ddm HID hi/lo de down pipe egr delete pcv reroute bills custom stage 3 intake,tow mirrors,billet fuel door,tie rod sleves. BD exhaust manifold .dsp5 buit tranny tune from duramaxtunner thanks to Nick&Bob1-815-861-5807[/COLOR].built tranny g max pac5 thanks SHANE!air dog 165.B D intercooler Afe down and up pipes

Larger? No.

You'd have to look into adding an aux oil cooler. Sandwich adapter, coil, hose...not too bad in $$. But those al fittings shoot up the cost. IIRC, when I priced out the parts years ago, $750-ish comes to mind.

And then there's the debate of running -10an vs -12an. Dmax volume needs fall into the -12 area, but the sandwich adapter is only -10.
However, if you port out the I.D. to match the -12, it works.

Thinner wall, yes. But it's fine to support the low oil psi of the Dmax, and lack of flow volume won't be a concern.

Here is some good info for ya on the oil coolers.
01-16 cooler is 10 plates, 17-19 is 14 plates, 2020 cooler is 20 plates and not a super costly upgrade
