Question Edge Insight Pro CTS2

I have this new Edge product and i bought the EGT probe to go with it. I want to put in the passenger side exhaust manifold but I don't want to only monitor on side of the engine. Now on the box that the EGT probe came in it says "user can connect multiple EGT sensors to monitor temperatures in different locations". I don't know if there is some special wire you need for this or if you just connect them like you would the other expandable accessories. Any thoughts on this would helpful i'm sure. Thanks for reading.(first post)

What Caleb said, you'll just add the additional probe to the edge and you will be able to monitor both as if they were two separately.

You'll then select it in the edge display.

Any idea on how many you can “daisy chain” together?

Probably a bunch. Edge likes to brag about how great their EAS accessories are im sure you can have atleast 2 if youre willing to pay them some coin for wiring to connect everything. I cant think of anything else you would need besides fuel pressure and EGT though? There are so many parameters you can get from just the computer. I suppose boost on the Edges maxes out at 22 PSI, idk how you would change that. The stock sensor probably needs to be swapped or something. I dont worry about it because i have a mechanical boost gauge that I believe to be more accurate and it came with the truck as well and a mechanical EGT gauge. Although i could see benefits of having and EGT gauge wired to an edge because i think you can program the edge to cut fuel at a certain temperature or atleast beep a warning at you that things are heating up

So I’ve already bought two of the EGT kits and I’m putting one on both exhaust manifold but I was also thinking about putting one on the down pipe as well.

All you’ll get is a warning flashing for a very short time on the screen and a little baby beep, when you hit the temp you set.
You can still exceed the high temp you set.
But it’s better knowing what your EGT’s are and other pids your monitoring, several pid options can be set for min or max for the warning option.
