Coolant Level

Hi guys , Ive searched this with mixed answers. I changed thermostats out and refilled with DexCool. Exactly where is the correct cold level at the Rib ? above the words cold level ? Thanks 2006LBZ

I live in an imaginary state of Retirement, dress is beyond 'casual', with more of the On Vacation look all of the time.

This thread cracks me up haha Just a couple good ole boys discussing coolant levels and vacation attire!

On a serious note, I had no idea there was a "coolant level line" anywhere on the reservoir... I just did a coolant flush last week and filled mine to the breather hose! Is that bad?

Brand new to me, 2006 LBZ motor w/LLY tune (I think?). CCSB 4x4 LT model, white in color. 6 speed trans with tow button and +/- switch.

221,000 miles, all original, bone stock for now.

It's on the engine facing side. You'd have to remove the intake tube for a line of sight to see it.

There's a breather hose?

If ya put in more than it wants, it'll just puke out the overflow tube.

Sorry, maybe breather hose is the wrong term, overflow tube sounds right
