P0401 and P0230 codes

Yesterday I was leaving Jacksonville and when I went to clear my codes I had a new one. The P0230. I normally carry the other due to the blocker plate. I googled and I searched here on the p0230 code. Not much info unless I missed it. Would the blocker be causing this? It just started with that code.

2007 2500 CCSB /16 X 8 Mickey Thompson Classic / 285x75x16 Cooper ATP / PCV Reroute/Alligator trans cooler hoses / Merchant Automotive pump rub / EDGE CTS2 / Diamond Eye 5" exhaust / Bilstein 5100 shocks

The P0230 code is Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit, would not be due to the blocker plate. An electrical issue somewhere, but I'm not much help other than that for you right now, sorry.

A little more info. I just change the fuel filter and rebuilt the fuel filter head. I still have the code. I am checking the codes with an edge cts. I checked the codes and the p0230 was there. I cleared codes and turned the truck off. Turned the key on and checked codes and boom the p0230 was there NO CEL. So I am thinking this is more electrical than actual fuel pressure.

I can not get the code to reset. I even disconnected the batteries for 30 min.

One thing to think about-these trucks don't have an electric fuel pump. If the code will not go away when trying to reset it, that's means it is an active issue and won't go away until it is repaired. Might not hurt to pull the fuse block cover and check the wiring under the fuse block, see if you have a wiring issue going on underneath it

I thought the fuel pump codes were only for cab and chassis models that have dual fuel tanks. I don't understand what it could be referring to on a Duramax with only 1 tank, not like we have a fuel pump.

Donít believe any of them would run without a fuel pump?

Maybe you are thinking of injection pump? Your normal non-cab and chassis Duramax definitely does not have a fuel pump.
