07 LBZ wonít start. Oil number 4 cylinder

Bought a 07 LBZ with engine trouble. It was hard to crank. I charged the batteries and removed all of the glow plugs. Number 4 cylinder glow plug was soaked in oil. When I turn it over oil shoots out of the glow plug hole on that cylinder. There isnít any blow by coming out of oil filler tube. I removed the valve cover and the valves are all up and working. I pulled off the belt to make sure crank wasnít loose. Iím not sure what to check next. Any ideas.

Did he have any blow by coming out filler tube? I talked to a local diesel mechanic and he said he had one do the same thing and it was a cracked piston.

Sorry about the delay replying to you but . Im not usre if he did or not at first we thought bad injector until I smelled the smoke once I got a whiff I knew it was catastrophic. $9500 for an engine installed from the dealer with a warranty
