Noises

My stock 2006 has some noises that I'm trying to track down so I can hopefully get rid of them. I'm new to the Baltimore area and I would prefer to do it myself. One of the noises sounds like an exhaust leak but I haven't been able to find it. I've been looking and feeling but no luck. Another noise is a hum/vibration that only occurs at about 70mph. And the final noise is a clunk when starting and stopping. I'm wondering if anyone in my area might have a little bit of time to help me identify the problem. I'll have good and beer (maybe some bourbon).... Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

As far as the noise at start and stop, I'd check the u joints. Mine did that when I bought it and thought it was rear bushings but eventually my u joint started chirping and after I changed them it stopped making that noise.

I'll take a look at them. Thank you for the tip.

Injector knock can sound like an exhaust leak.

How would I diagnose that? And is there a fix? Thank you for the input.

Is the exhaust noise you're describing more of a tick? If it is a tick, try a different oil. My LBZ had a very noticeable tick running Rotella, mostly gone running Delvac. The start stop is either a u joint or the tranny yoke. Good luck!

I had a similar tick/knock sound, thought it was exhaust. Checked several things manifold, uppipe, you name it. Finally did the injector cleaning that Iíve been wanting to do for sometime. And while running truck for the cleaning procedure the noise went away. I have since added Kennedy lift pump and keep additive to it and noise still gone.
