Driver’s Side Exhaust Manifold Replacement

I have an 06 Duramax. I’m going to be replacing the drivers side restricted exhaust manifold with a BD one here soon. Is it necessary to also replace the up pipe on that side while I’m in there or should it be ok? I know I will need new gaskets for both the up pipe and the manifold, but is there anything else I need to order? Thanks in advance.

I bought one from the dealership new for a 08 duramax cheaper than I could get from a vendor. You could get one out of a junk yard if you can find one

Nictane adapter, Magnaflow downpipe, 4" exhaust, westin steps, rub kit, lml manifold, pcv reroute, resonator delete, Banks ic pipe, tranny cooler flipped

To do later list: gauges, s&b cold air kit, EFI

This is getting more addictive than my 454 chevelle was
