Trouble Codes

I have an '08 Silverado 2500 6.6 turbo diesel, this morning engine light came on so I took it in to have codes read, it was throwing codes P0671, U0140, U0100, and U0102 I have lightly researched these codes and it seems the problems associated with these codes should cause significant decrease in performance, but have noticed little if any... Anybody know what may be going on with this?

So the P0671 is a glowplug probably going bad or is bad. The Us are all related to your ECM/BCM/TCM losing connectivity. Were you able to clear the codes? Did they come back?

I did clear the codes and they haven't came back yet but hasn't been driven much since.. the glow plug doesn't seem like to big of deal but any idea what could cause loss of connectivity to all those control modules?

Replace the glow plug, itís not something you just want to ignore.
The U0 codes can be a mystery at times, fix what you know now and see what happens.

Many u-codes can be contributed to broken wiring, shorted wiring, loss of the GM LAN circuits caused by various modules that communicate on the LAN. Just watched a video last night about a Chevy truck that had several electrical codes and they ultimately found a broken wire on the oil pressure switch that brought down the 5V reference line going to the sensor. Once the line was spliced back together again, all was OK. Shorted wiring, broken wiring is quite common in our trucks.
