Water in the Fuel Filter Light

Hi everyone
Am have a little problem with the Fuel Filter light it's telling me it has water in the fuel filter, We changed the fuel filter and we did the Brake & Gas peddle by hold them both at the same time with the Key on On ( Not start)
and waited a few second and the will not shut off.

Any help would be grateful
Phil

That little WIF sensor is known to be rather frail so check that out, probably best to go ahead and order another one, and make sure the connector is in good shape.

Did you drain the filter and determine if you had water?

A tank of bad fuel, plus a new filter, equals the same result....with bad fuel.
Verify you truly don't have bad fuel, then troubleshoot the sensor.
