Found what looks like the source of my random engine shutdown issue I have going in another thread.

This happened on my 2011 also. The big harness on top of the motor rides against a pipe and eventually wears through the insulation and causes random shorts. Taped mine up and it has been good for over a year.

When you say random shutdown, what was your doing. I am having random shutdown issues where my tach is falling off to 0 then about 5-15 secs the motor wants to die down. Sometimes it picks itself back up and sometimes it shuts all the way down
