Pull the coolant hose off the intercooler but you'll need a way to stop this up. This one was a small gusher. I had a siphon hose ready though. If you drain coolant out of the radiator before you start, you'll still get some leakage just not as much.
My jiggle siphon hose worked great.

Now, with the A/C compressor gone. You have a ton more access to the FPR. Zip tie the thermostat coolant line out of the way.

Pull the Di-Lithium Crystal pack housing out of the clip and the flux core harness out of the way. This is a little known secret among LML owners.
This pic is out of sequence. It can be moved at any time when you're disconnecting the coolant hoses.

There's that little F&@*ker ! FPR is now more visible. Shot looking straight down at it. That fuel line right next to the arrow prevents a 1/4 extension from seating your Torx bit onto the bolt in a level and straight manner. That's why a thinner Torx extended bit is useful. Especially when you're re-installing it and you need the bolt to start straight in and not cross-thread.

Another shot from the A/C compressor area. You can see the puddle of coolant around the base of the FPR where it seats on top of the fuel pump. Take time to wipe around the FPR as best as you can and blow out the coolant with your air compressor gun. Try to get this so no loose crap falls in to the pump when you pull the FPR.

**** Danger Will Robinson! Anything that falls into the top of the pump will get sent to your injectors *****

Pull the connector off and remove the two T25 Torx bolts.

Gently pull the FPR straight up once both bolts are free. Take care not to drop one into the abyss of the engine's valley. If you do, you can either try to fish it out with a magnet or just go buy a new stainless steel one.

Here's the OEM FPR out. Single 80 micron screen.
