When the crank gets split in two, there is a slight timing issue which bends the shit out of the pushrods.

The fact that the dealer could not identify this engine as a pile of scrap is 5 minutes should make everyone lose all faith in dealerships.

The owner should have every dime he wasted there refunded.....
The dealership wanted to charge me more money to drop the pan and inspect the inside of the engine. I said no, I was already at a $500 bill from them. I didn't need them to tell me what was broke, I knew it was serious...

Got the front of the frame sealed with POR-15, I didn't want gloss black but it was all they had. I'm painting the frame flat chassis black tomorrow. I should get the short block in about 5 days, I rebuilt the turbo, getting the hot side a part was difficult and also seating the hot side was a pain, very tight fit. Transmission and heads are done, I pick those up next week. Still waiting on the driveshafts...

I'm picking up the transmission and heads tomorrow. I'm going with the Mahle 54597 and 54598 head gaskets. Any pro's or con's to this head gasket?
