15 LML Lift Pump Fuse Tap Location

I have a 15 LML that i have had deleted for about 3.5 years. When i did the delete, i installed an AirDog 4g lift pump, but i could never get the fuse tap into a fuse slot under the hood that was key on power only. I searched and searched the fuse box but none of the fuses labeled (ign) were accessible to fit the fuse tap into them. A relay was always in the way. Forward to this year, i helped a buddy delete his 14 and he had all kinds of fuses accessible that were ignition only. It seems as if GM redesigned the layout of the fuse boxes from 14 to 15 and later.

Long story short, what did guys with 15 and newer LMLs do to tap into an ignition only source. Maybe i missed a fuse but i was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. As I currently have it installed, the pump runs any time the door is opened but shuts off after like 20 seconds when the key is not on.

Thanks

I powered my lift pump on my 2008 truck from a pin in the MBEC (near the brake pedal under the dash) that is powered with key on. The pin is fused (15 amps, I think). You could get a wiring diagram for your year on GMUPFITTER.COM in the body builder section, look for MBEC and see what's available.

Take a look at the link below, these are install instructions for a FASS pump for a 15-16 LML but it shows you which fuses they are tapping to get ignition power.

I remember looking at that location but i was nervous about that sharp bend in the wire right after the fuse tap.....looks like FASS isnt too worried, so i might just do that then.

Thanks for the reply
