I have personally looked into this and decided it isn't a good idea unless you really like to wrench, have lots of time and are good at problem solving. I'm sure it could be done but you would be better off getting a second job, saving the money and getting a diesel to begin with. It would be easier, take less time and be more sure. Or so say I.

Money wise this sort of thing can get out of hand very easily.
