Ambient air temperature?

My ambient air temperature doesn’t change sometimes. It will stay at the mornings temp instead of increase with the day. Does that affect anything?

The one telling you outside temp? Pretty sure its just convienence so shouldnt affect a thing. Quick call to the service shop would probably be able to answer that though as well.

Mine works great but in the winter I know when I started putting a piece of insulation covering my trans cooler in the front lower bumper hole my temp gauge for outside is all mess up shows it is +20 out when it is like -20 to -30 out. But soon as I take that piece out it is back working bang on. 🤔

If you are scanning the IAT then it is important that it give a reasonable reading but if you are just looking at the A/C then it hardly matters except it may affect the way the heater works.
