Mad Jack 2015 fuel filter access door

Has anyone bought one for their 2015 and how do you like it? I had one on my 2012 and it worked good, provided just enough room to get it in and out of there... The one for the 15 looks like it may not provide as much room?

This is what I did to access the fuel filter. I bought a wheelwell liner from my local Chevy dealer for under $60.
Believe me, I was worth it! You can cut it to any size or shape you want or need and it'll fit perfectly. The little "doors" that you'll find on the aftermarket vendor's sites are just way too small. (even the "new and improved ones)

So you just cut up the new one and made it overlap where you cut open the original for access? or did I miss something?

I bought one from MadJack for my 2011 but it didn't get installed. I took one look at it, then held up the pattern for the cutout against my wrist, and laughed as I refiled it in the trash. That thing was a joke and a ripoff.

That was a great idea about getting another liner from the dealer and cutting whatever size that you want. I can't believe that I never thought of that. Thanks Rance.

Ive got one on mine, but havent had to change the filter yet with it on (installed it while i had the liner out to change the FF). Looks like it should be enough room, need to pull it off so i can change out the push pins as they are just not quite long enough (so its tough to get them in)

I liked the one I got from Mad Jack for my 2012, it provided just enough room to get in there without making a mess...

Would you mind posting a picture with the door removed? Thanks!

For the 2011-2014 LML you have to remember that the panel we sell only covers the solid plastic part of the inner fender well. The removed portion when you take out the door to service a filter includes the flap that hangs down over the A arm. If you look at Dmax Affair's picture you can see the flap is cut the same width as the A arm is wide and all of that comes out with the door. If you look at the door it is almost the same width that the A arm is which gives you ample space to access the filter.

The 2015-Up door is even larger (9 3/4" by 8 1/2") than the 2011-2014 doors because it doesn't have the flap part that comes out with it.

If anybody has questions or concerns contact us we are not hiding from anything or anybody. 1bigk we are here to help and serve you and if you are not happy with something our email box and phone lines are open to you. Throwing something you spent money on in the trash is silly all you had to do is call us and we would have taken that door back and refunded you.

Bluestreak the push pins are designed to be in their strongest point when installed. Make sure you installed the abs plastic door behind the cutout section (on the engine side) so when installed the furry fenderwell is all facing the tire. The doors strength and stiffness helps hold the pins in place securely on a 2015-Up because of that material they make the fenderwell out of. I have not had anybody tell me they are losing pins because they are not long enough and not holding properly.
