On my '18, the 1000 mile has come anywhere between 18% and 23%.

30% is the level where the 17-19 level indicator switches from saying 'OK' to giving a '% remaining' number.

Below 300 miles, it will give an update of 'remaining miles to empty'.

At 'empty' it will start giving the 'miles to speed limit' warnings.

I'd guess this is another case of 'def not filled' by dealer.
If it was at 31% or more it will just say ok.

At 1100 miles per gallon (that's what mine has been giving over the first 20,000 miles) then it will have used about 1.1 gallon.

1.1 gallon is 1.1/7*100% = about 16% of tank.

31% -16% = 15%.

Next step is fill it and see how much it holds.
DEF level indicator isn't supper accurate, but there might be nothing wrong except that it wasn't filled at delivery.
LOL no it is a bigger problem than most understand. I have been living it now for about 60 days. Yours is a different model than a 2020 software is not the same. Read my posts above--simple this is not.

I wasn't responding to your 2020 issue.

NHFireDmax has a 2019 (acccording to his sig)

2019 and older don't have the new style DEF gauge that you have.

Basically, everything is different on the trucks prior to 2020 -- except the engine RPO code; and the engine has differences as well.

2019 did not look just saw the mileage. My bad. This seems to be a recurring issue for GM. Will post if they get mine fixed.

so..... the dealer tells me on a 19 the "fluid empty fill now" 500 miles to 65 MPH limit is the first and only warning I will get? seems inaccurate to me?

Dealer is inaccurate. I know, shocking. I have a 19. The first warning I got was 999 miles until empty.

Hope they can get it fixed because I do love the truck. Going from full to half to one bar and today got 981 miles left and when I got home was showing almost full!! Something is definitely wron

I read in this thread some discussion on def concentrations.

I have 2019 chevy with banks idash 1.8. Just downloaded their 1.18.1 software update from website and gained a pid for def concentration and def temperature.
