Anyone happy with their L5P

As a new owner of 2018 1ton it seems there are a lot of issues with this engine or we are only hearing the horror stories.

If anyone out their has had trouble free miles, love to read your story as well.

I've currently got 1200 miles on mine and I'm really happy but leery about the reliability. I bought this to pull a 15000# Fifth wheel, now I'm questioning my purchase based on what I've read. Maybe I should have bought the 6.0 Gasser.

I'm very happy with mine. Only 17,000 miles so far but most of them are towing miles. Only trips back to the dealer was for the two free oil changes and one reprogram for the acceleration upon braking.

I will say tho. I traded an 01 for this 17 and the injector problems I've been reading about worry me a little. I was hoping those were over with

A 6.0 gasser' is not the truck to pull a 15K trailer...

I just pulled a 33' 12k toy hauler from Harrisburg, Pa to Pittsburgh, Pa over the turnpike(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_Turnpike) running 70 -75 mph and got 10mpg ...

I'm at 7200 miles on my truck and no regrets....

I bought mine in September and have 7000 miles, mostly all towing. I've had no problems and I'm very happy with it.

Bought my 2017 2500HD Silverado Crew Cab May 17, 2017. Just under 20K miles now and I'm a happy camper. Have made three 1,400 miles trip from Erie, PA to Robbinsville, NC pulling about 8,000 pounds and never a problem.

I've had one ambient temp sensor replaced under warranty.

Had a 2013 1500 Silverado before this and I'm happy I upgraded.

My '17 2500 HD is my 3rd duramax in a row. Never had any problems with my 05 dually or 09. This new truck is awesome looking and super comfortable BUT first one to let me down. Worked flawlessly before injector pump failed and works flawlessly again now after almost a month in the shop but full warranty repair, lots of power and I'm content with fuel mileage for a non emissions deleted truck. I pull a 38' tri axle goose neck steel framed race car hauler like nothing, very pleased. I'm at 40,000 km now (25,000 miles) and had it in the shop 3 times for other than oil changes and I've had ecm updates during the oil changes. DPF service bulletin, and low coolant light were easy fixes and in and out. The injector pump was 22 days...dealer was great, GM Customer Care sucks the big one...

2017 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ 2500 HD L5P, front window tint matched up, Llumar clear stone guard, low profile vent visors, weathertech mats, colour matched mud flaps, 5th wheel, waiting on DEF tank relocate!!!
