Oil change

So Iím getting ready to do the 2nd oil change on my 2019 L5P. The only thing Iím questioning is why would the truck be looking for an another oil change with just over 5k miles on it.
The 1st one I did at 2500+- and I used T4 and Napa gold filter. Will my intervals start getting further apart as the miles go up? I do a mix of city and highway. I do let the truck idle in the morning (high idle on) while I get coffee and load my daughter in the truck. Any input welcome! Thanks!

Did you reset the oil life monitor when you changed the oil at 2500 miles? I know dumb question but had to ask...

And how long do u let it idle?

Yes, I reset it. Itís been cold, so I hit the remote start and let it warm up. No more than 15 min. Is idling these trucks really that bad?

What is trucks location/how cold was winter?
How long is the drive after the 15 minute idle?

Iím not going to say idling is bad but it does affect the oil life monitor as it looks at engine hours I believe.

How many hours are on the engine?

250 hrs at say an average of 45mph is equivalent to 11,250miles. So Iíd say itís about right.... 11,250 - 2,500 (when u last changed) is like 8,750 miles between oil changes...

My LML has 115,000 miles, and 3050 hours. That equals a average of 38 mph ,every hour, over the life of the truck.

38 mph x 250 hours = 9500 miles. Sounds about the right time to change it.

I guess I never thought of looking at it like that. I figured the highway miles were easier than around town and the HY miles would balance out the around town and make the average = whatís actually on the truck.
