I have the Banks and love it, the reason they are on back order is because they can't keep them in stock and their performance number combined with the derringer speak for themselves on the L5P's.

Banks customer service is also great, if you use the guys on the facebook derringer group page.

My collar that connects the CAI to the turbo horn kept popping off, I posted on the facebook group and they contacted me within half an hour and had a new one out to me same day no charge.

I received it today, when I went to install it I noticed my CAI was warping from me trying to keep tightening down the CAI so it wouldn't pop off.

I sent them pics today on facebook messenger and they have a new one shipped today free of charge.

I have one of the pre-order first run units that had issues with the connector boot, they admitted there was an issue and said if anyone had problems it would get fixed.

Great customer service!

The same thing happened to mine. I was driving and my truck started to have a horrible turbo lag, then all of a sudden it would catch up and take off. I pulled over and saw that the entire CIA had separated from the collar/sleeve which was still attached to the horn. I was lucky that the clamp stayed on the collar. The whole CIA and air filter had slid down the air box about 2" to the point where the filter was resting on the bottom of the box.

I really tightened it up now, so I will check to see if I've warped the CIA, then call Banks and have them send me the new version of the collar. That silicone coating on the collar is quite slick feeling, so I can see how it can slide off easier than the OEM under the weight of the free float air filter. I almost put the OEM collar back on.

Quite a few owners are putting the stock collar back on and just installing a plug in the resonator hole. If I have issues with the new tube and collar I might have to as well.

man, you must be the proverbial unicorn because i dont know anyone else who has such nice things to say about there customer service. ive personally been told off more than once by them for asking for help in diagnosing issues caused by there hardware. i would rather call the IRS while getting a root canal than banks customer service.

This how fast they are to deal with on facebook.

Sun afternoon I posted I was having issues with the collar, 10 minutes later the rep was getting my info.

Mon by noon they replied back that it was being handled, before 5PM I had a shipping number and t arrived here in NC Wed.

When I noticed the tube was warped I sent another message and within 5 minutes He said he will send a new tube and new clamps.

This was all this week, I see them taking care of owners like this all the time on the group.

So long as it's Well-Supported garbage? (according to another poster on the forum who bought their gauges and said they feel like made-in-china plastic garbage)

I hope they are good, I'm looking at their Derringer and gauges.
