Just read this on GM TechLink. Apparently trucks with the NQF or NQH transfer case can have a clunking sound during coast down. It requires the mounting bolts be loosened and the case backed up no more than an inch and a specific re torquing of mounting bolts.
All the info is on the website dated 11/20/19.
From what I understand, it was a few early built trucks and the noise will be obvious when you drive the truck. If you haven't noticed it in the first couple weeks of ownership than your truck is not likely effected by it.
I had this done to mine, purchased in July and they wouldn't release it to me until it was done. Dealer said they were replaceing the bolts though not just remove/re-torque. Havent had any issues with clunking other than a few hard shifts during the transmission learning period.
