2020 Safety Recall - Seatbelt Pretensioner Fire

I received an email from my GMC dealer instructing me to call and schedule a shop visit per "Safety Recall Notice #N192270600-01 - Seatbelt Pretensioner Fire". Has anyone had this serviced yet or heard anything about this?

So I did a little searching and apparently this came out a few weeks ago. Something about the gas escaping from an opening in the tensioner assembly could possibly catch the carpets on fire in the case of an accident. So they're having people bring them in and cover the opening in the tensioner body.

Had mine at the dealer last week. They completed the seat belt recall, about 1/2 a day. They had to order the new grill cover and the parts for the heat shield recall.

i Took mine in today for the seatbelt recall and grill cover. The service advisor called me back a few hrs later saying the seatbelt recall was taken care but the grill recall wasn’t because they need to replace the entire front grill? I was like WTH?! Lol. It clearly says grill cover on letter so I’m a little lost on that

I took mine today for this and I’m still not sure what they did or if they did anything since service advisor said it got complete but paper work says “part not in stock. Customer is coming back once the part is available” ?

Well there are 2 recalls one for something in the air intake and the seat belt issue. I had mine in to have a faulty mid shaft in the steering linkage replaced and they did the seat belt recall. The later parts were ordered. Had it in this week earlier for a software issue when a over the air download/push went hay wire and caused the vehicle to drain the batteries completely would not even jump. Took 3 hours of 20-16 amp charge to get it to start.

Everything reset and the infotainment systems now works correctly now but man this GM is a POS but I still love it. Good news is after a couple of years will have 100k on this one and will get whatever is the best at the time.

The dealer didn’t mention anything in regards to air intake recalls. Maybe not all models?. Did you get the grill cover recall? I was told they need to replace the entire grill

"Part" is foil tape that they can get lots of places....
