New member with turbo question

Hello all, total noob here and also regarding these incredible engines.

My apologies for not searching the older threads for this info, but I figured I could get a quicker answer by posting this.

2006 Chevy C3500 LBZ with 78,000 miles. Everything is completely stock.

Going down the road the other day and the turbo blew out.

My question is should I just get a replacement Garrett turbo or a Garrett stage 1 turbo, or some other brand?

The truck is only used for hauling a landscape trailer and a 1800lb mower.

Also if upgrading said turbo do I need to upgrade anything else on the truck.

I'm just looking to keep pulling said trailer and not rip down a house!

Thanks in advance.

Danvile performance would be who I would use for a vgt. Mark has some turbos that are drop in stock replacements that wont need more fuel or even tuning depending on what you go with. Give him a shout.

"Flat Back Gorilla" Daily/Tow rig- 04 GMC Sierra LB7 CC Flatbed/Tune/Exhaust
"Empty Pockets" Race/Pulling truck- 2012 CCSB Cummins/Built Engine/48RE Swap/PCS2000/
B&M Ratchet shifter/Big fuel/Big air/Lowered
