I’ve been using AFE airfilters since 2003 on a Ford 6.0, now on my Dmax since 2007, in my signature.
I’ve never had even one coming apart or getting to thin where the MAF g/s gets to high to set off a code.
I’m still using my first AFE airfilter that I bought in Aug 2007.
Now if you was to start a thread on K & N’s coming apart on turbo powered engines, that’d be more believable.
We’ve had this happen on 2 of our 7.3 PowerChoke service trucks with K & N’s which don’t have anywhere the boost compared to these newer Dmax’s.

You are NEVER to take compressed air like those dudes did and blow thru the media filter, that will ruin any airfilter even a paper one.
