Good morning guys. I'm feeling great today! My hip has been bothering me again the last couple weeks. Woke up and it feels decent so far today, maybe all the food and beer over the weekend fixed it?

Currently sitting in my car at the jobsite in the rain. I'm supposed to set up our hydro scaffold on this job but they hauled in 3' of black last fall and I'm gonna guess it's way to muddy for the lull to move around....might get day off yet

Hoping this week goes by smooth for everyone. Headed to Florida Friday night. Taking the family to Orlando for a week. If all goes as planned Iíll start tearing the truck apart the week I get back.

For the lml owners, I have a cp3 conversion kit already. Got a local guy with a LMM cp3 with 100k on it for $250. Should I pick that up and throw it in until I can purchase a sportsman or roll the dice? Your opinions welcome...

If his lmm cp3 held rail I'd throw it on for 250. How long has it been off the truck?

Also andrew all a sportsman does is flow past 3000 rpm. Will flow to like 4500 or so. The stock pumps quit at 3k. Which most people arent turning more than that and stock they command the shift at 3200. So unless you plan on doing more than low to mid 600s and turning some serious rpm that stock lmm cp3 will work forever. IF it was holding good rail.

I haven't talked with him since Thursday. He was thinking it would be back in one piece this past Saturday. He wanted to keep it a few days, drive it some, make sure coolant was full and no other issues. I figured that would work out since I'm gone this week anyhow. I will probably call him later in the week if I don't hear anything. Hoping I can pick it up on Saturday. I don't expect to be home any before 7pm on Friday.

Discovered a drawback to the hood, sorta.
The increased air flow thru the bay is good for removing heat, but.....

The engine bay is trashed with dirt...and bugs. There's definitely some air flow thru there....everything's covered with dirt, a lot. I usually keep it fairly clean, but it's never been this dirty.

And, the bugs. I didn't transfer the hood liner, and the whole underside has bug carcass impacts, like you'd see on your headlights or bumper.
And it's the whole hood, left right center, front to back.

No idea what their path is to impact the underside of the hood. The chrome deflector is tight to the grille....I thought. Maybe shredded thru the tiny hair thin gap?
Or thru the grille and then up?

But once they're thru, is there enough wind action to smash 'em to death against the underside of the hood?

I have been thru weeks of Kamikaze Spring bugs, where you have to stop every hour or so and clean the windshield just to see. Didn't know they were lining the hood too.
