Feels like the torque converter is toast, Iíll be dropping it off at Jones Diesel first of next week to get them to look into it. Bum deal, but it was a blast. Canít wait to get back at it!

First video is a practice pass, second is when I left before I was in boost.

Took a couple practice shots at correcting the paint this afternoon so that I know for sure what to use once my buddy and I go at it in a few weeks. Think Iíve pretty much got it. Still waiting on Dr ColorChip to show up to touch up some chips in the paint. Not sure Iím why Iím bothering, since Iím guaranteed more chips the next time I drive it. Lol...

Brock, thanks for letting me bug you with questions, and all the tips!

Dropped the truck off at Jones Diesel yesterday. From what Iíve talked with them, and driving it around a bit to see how itís acting, pretty sure that the torque converter is toast. They are getting it shipped to Goerend to get rebuilt ASAP. Sounds like a pretty quick turnaround to get it rebuilt.

Going to upgrade to the extreme clutch in the torque converter. The guys Iíve talked with said itís pretty much a must in higher horsepower applications. Locks up firmer, and helps dissipate heat better as well.

Also ordered a DHD lock up box. That should be here later this week. Canít wait to get that installed, so that I have the peace of mind that the converter is staying locked.

Heads are showing up on Thursday. Not sure if Iím gonna have time to swap them out before the truck show though. Thinking about it, that might be a good thing. That would give me an opportunity to dyno it at the truck show, then get the heads swapped and put it on the dyno again at G&R Dyno Days, to see how much of a difference they make.

Right on Matt. Scott was going to put an extreme clutch goerend converter in my truck but wasn't able to get one to his shop in time for the refresh, so I went with the Y.

You'll like the lockup box from DHD. Works as advertised and well built. Cody went with a fleece lockup box on his lmm and it never stayed locked up for some reason so he pulled it out.

But I guess it doesnt matter know that his truck is down for the 10 count.

My dhd box is still sitting on my garage floor.
I only bought it so I could lock it on the dyno

Yeah, I talked with Cody about his. Transmission was acting all weird until he took his fleece box out, then it straightened right up. I think Iíll be really happy with the DHD box. Biggest thing Iím worried about is forgetting to unlock it. If that happens one or two times, Iíll probably wire in a small LED light so that I donít forget it. But it doesnít matter for sure for him, heís going to have to start all over now LOL.
