warmer in the winter because the ocean has had the summer to warm, on the south coast in the gulf between pei, nl ns and qc....

the north east with the lab/greenland current is down right frigid year round, average temp probably 0-2 degc....

about 10 years ago we were shooting ducks in november(probably the warmest time the ocean is here) in baie verte north towards conche, shooting from the deck of a 35'er.

had the lab and he only went in once.... rest of the trip ~4 days is stayed on the deck and whined when we shot birds, he thought about it but refused to go....

that was a great dog and did lots of fresh water winter work and salt water work on the south coast, but he knew when it was just too damn cold...

Little late, but NS here. Did the out west thing, did the NFLD thing in for 5 years but moved back where you can enjoy the East Coast lifestyle, but not have to deal with the 6 wk summers of NFLD.

I hear a Codner fella has quite a rig over there. Think he's from the 'Cove.
