I never use my manual mode but doesn't it still override you if you floor it? Like if I had it in 4th and floored it would it go down to third?

And like I said I baby my truck for the most part. Like I go over 2500 rpm maybe 3 times per week

I have an HHR SS (same engine) and I wouldn't dream of racing it with my truck with any tune. 290hp in 3200lbs is tough to beat even with 400hp in 6-7k lbs. And if they did additional tuning, it just gets worse.
